Job Summary:
As the Warehouse/Fulfillment Manager, you will lead and optimize warehouse and fulfillment operations within our Toronto-based warehouse. You will manage a team of shippers, receivers, and warehouse associates, to ensure the overall flow and storage of goods in our warehouse is efficient and orderly. You will also manage the fulfillment team, streamline processes, and utilize our Warehouse Management System (WMS) to drive efficiency, accuracy, and overall performance. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, your role is essential in ensuring the smooth execution of our manufacturing and distribution services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the warehouse and fulfillment teams to meet and exceed operational and performance goals.
- Understand and manage all aspects of order processing, and warehouse operations using our Warehouse Management System (WMS), and a number of other business tools
- Build, train, evaluate, iterate, and enhance processes to ensure all team members are executing tasks to the highest level of efficiency and accuracy
- Ensure the effective tracking of shipments, stock management, and workflow efficiency through WMS.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to overcome operational challenges.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse and fulfillment operations, making data-driven decisions to improve performance.
- Prepare and present performance reports, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary actions.
- Act as a champion for safety in the entire building
- Collaborate closely with internal departments including account management, customer service, production, and sales to ensure seamless fulfillment processes.
- Resolve operational issues in coordination with cross-functional teams to maintain smooth and efficient operations.
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience as a team leader or manager in warehouse, fulfillment, or logistics operations (Distribution Centre or Fulfillment Supervisor or similar experience)
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), as well as tools such as Google Sheets, Monday.com, etc.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to motivate and develop your team.
- Ability to analyze data, generate reports, and make informed decisions based on key performance metrics.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
