Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager is an important part of Avid Group and is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities. In this role, the Business Development Manager is responsible for prospecting new clients, building a pipeline of potential business and achieving quotas by converting prospects into customers. To be successful as a Business Development Manager at Avid you are self-motivated and are a brand ambassador for what sets us apart of the competition. 

Duties & Responsibilities

Prospecting

  • Develop new outbound prospecting strategies while owning multiple steps within the sales cycle. 
  • Execute monthly prospecting and lead generations campaigns. 
  • Proactively contact prospects across various channels such as phone, email, online, social (Linkedin) and in person (tradeshows). 
  • Ensure prospects are contacted, engaged and educated. 
  • Identify decision makers with current customers or targeted leads to begin the sales process. 
Sales & Negotiation 

  • Collaborate with the VP of Sales, Strategic Account Managers and Sales Coordinators to move an opportunity to close. 
  • Participate when necessary, in client sales meetings. 
  • Articulate the features, benefits and values of Avid Group’s value proposition during pitches and showroom tours. 
  • Deliver on monthly revenue and activity volume targets as set by the VP of Sales. 
Trends & Growth 

  • Continue to build your knowledge and understanding of the apparel industry along with relevant trends. 
  • Participate and present in sales leadership meetings to deliver information regarding KPIs, sales pipeline, account status and additional opportunities.
